Wetherbee Pediatric Therapy- Provides a specialized and individualized approach to each child. Primary interventions include Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI). Additional modalities available and in conjunction with DMI, include Theratogs, TASES electrical muscle stimulation, WBV whole body vibration technology (Hypervibe), kinesiotaping, sensorimotor strategies, feeding and swallowing.
As a clinician in the field of pediatrics for many years, becoming an Intermediate practitioner of the DMI family has brought my practice to the ‘next level’. The functional outcomes for families, and the ability to see neuroplastic changes during the therapy session make it an unmatched pediatric therapy intervention.
DMI is a specialized therapeutic technique to treat children with motor delay by improving automatic postural responses and promoting great progress towards developmental milestones. This comprehensive intervention incorporates current research on neurorehabilitation, technologies, and methodologies. DMI stimulates neuroplasticity to facilitate new neuronal connections and development of motor milestones.
